WEEK 21 - 26.02.2018
PRUDENTIAL INNOVATION LAB WORKSHOP
-
This week I want to the Prudential Workshop. The goal of the day was to create a service for someone who wanted to gather his old friends for a dinner. His problem was that some of his friends had specific diet requirements and some of them didn't had a lot of money to spend on the dinner. Managing all the different requirements and needs of his friends made it hard to organise the dinner. Moreover, he had to find a restaurant that would make everyone happy, in a city everyone could go to, at a date everyone is available. He also had to gather his friends money to pay the deposit.
So, we had 6 hours to create as a team a service that would help him organise the dinner in an more efficient and easier way.

With my team, we create a web app that allow each participant to choose his/her preferences as a first step, then to vote for a restaurant and then to choose his/her menu in advance. We added a notification system that allow the organizer to see how far each of his friends is in the process and to alert them personally with a funny message when they are not doing the steps fast enough.
WHAT'S NEXT
On the 10th of March I'm going down to London for the British Universities Handball Championships. This will give me the chance to user test my app in the perfect conditions. My team will be playing 5 games at least and we have some guys from the men's team coming down with us to support, so they will be able to test my app. Since the app is not completely finished I am going to highlight the functionalities that can be used (the ones that work live).
